Kevin is a lifelong music professional with extensive experience on “both sides of the glass” in music creation and production. Kevin also has a wealth of performance experience on multiple instruments on stage and in the studio.

Having worked as a sound engineer in recording studios for years, and being a multi instrumentalist, Kevin found himself a natural fit for composing and producing production music for the Television and Film industries. Kevins independent music coupled with a few successful collaborations has seen his work appear in countless TV shows and TVC (commercials/adverts) all over the world, and you will also have heard his work as the backdrop to couple of blockbuster movies.

After moving to Brisbane from London in 2010, Kevin has primarily been working with independent singer songwriters as he believes the changing industry has seen a significant lack of suitable services and understanding to assist in the artistic development of young music professionals.

This made Kevin a perfect fit to work along side Adam at Groove Chapel as their shared belief in supporting the future of the music industry through education and mentoring while offering real world studio experiences to young artists that have grown up with digital in the box solutions was an important part of the industries sustainability.

Kevin says “The need for young artists to work with experienced creative professionals in order to capitalise on their youthful zeitgeist is as important as ever now that young artists are expected to be able to do their own recording, arranging, mixing, mastering and promotion, all of which take years to master and have a habit of completely derailing musical creative output. In the past, record and publishing companies were very big on artist development, but with the collapse of the physical media business model, there is no one picking up that role which is something I am exited to support and develop under the Groove Chapel umbrella”

Kevins broad experience means he has worked with multiple musical genres and while he is a fan of recording “the sound of moving air” with bands and solo artists in the studio, he is also well versed in electronic music, both as a composer and a remixer.
